The Greater Lansing Sports Authority (GLSA) is pleased to announce that it is the recent recipient of three major awards for successful marketing and communications. The awards were bestowed upon the GLSA by esteemed professional organizations, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the National Association of Sports Commissions (NASC).
At the 2010 PACE Awards, held by the Central Michigan Chapter of the PRSA, the GLSA achieved the Pinnacle Award, a top-honor in the annual competition, in the category of Tactics/Advertorial for a series of effective pieces of writing placed in Greater Lansing SPORT magazine.
Additionally, at the recent annual convention of the NASC, the GLSA brought home two impressive national awards, the first for Outstanding Website (www.lansingsports.org) and the second for Outstanding Communications & Advertising.
“We are very proud of the traction we have been able to achieve in our efforts to effectively market the Greater Lansing Sports Authority,” said Tracy Padot, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the GLSA and Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau. “These awards are a credit to our marketing team and will serve to motivate us for future promotion of the GLSA.”
PRSA, with over 20,000 members worldwide, is the nation’s largest professionally organized association for public relations practitioners. The NASC is the sports event industry’s leading networking organization and is made up of over 500 sports event organizations across the United States.
